Sub Panel Installation & Repair
Subpanel installation and repair for garages, workshops, additions, and outbuildings throughout East Tennessee. Expand your electrical capacity where you need it most.
A subpanel, also called a sub-feeder panel or distribution panel, allows you to extend electrical service to a garage, workshop, home addition, or outbuilding without running individual circuits all the way back to the main panel. RCC Electric installs and repairs subpanels throughout East Tennessee for residential and light commercial properties.
Subpanel installations are common for detached garages, workshops, basement build-outs, and home additions where multiple circuits are needed. The subpanel receives a single feeder circuit from the main panel and distributes power to multiple branch circuits on the remote end, a much cleaner solution than running six or eight individual circuits to the same location.
Subpanel work requires careful load calculation, proper feeder sizing, correct grounding and bonding (which differs slightly from the main panel), and permits in most cases. RCC Electric handles all of this correctly the first time.
